Event - Year 4 visit Cadbury World

27 February 2013

On a cold but sunny 27th February Class 4 visited Cadbury World in Bourneville.

As part of our creative curriculum unit 'Chocolate' we went on a fact finding mission to find out more about the rainforest as well as the exciting process of making Cadbury's chocolate.

We had an educational talk by one of the Cadbury staff called Yvette. She spoke all about the rainforest and what cocoa beans looks like. She told us all about the Aztecs who lived in Mexico around 500 years ago, and the Aztec leader Montezuma.

Afterwards, we had a thrilling tour of Cadbury World, where we found out the exciting process of making chocolate and talked to 'historical' characters who guided us around the building.

Everyone had a superb time and Mr. O'Connor particularly liked the chocolate tasting at the end!

Montezuma had a very special hat.
Actors told us what life was like in the 1500's.

We wrote our names in chocolate!
We enjoyed exploring the history of Cadbury.
