Event - Year 5 Inspire Workshop

4 November 2014

On Tuesday 4th November 2014, Class 5 invited their parents into school to learn all about eSafety, sharing ideas of how they could stay safe online at home.

After talking with parents about how the school ensures children are kept safe online at all times, the children and their parents played the ‘Moral Compass’ game, led by Mr O’Connor, where they had to leave their seats and choose suitable responses to various eSafety scenarios located around the room. This proved extremely popular, and along with a healthy discussion, it really made the children and their parents think about how they should respond to various eSafety issues.

Afterwards, each child worked with their parent to play an eSafety game, before watching a DVD with a clear message about posting personal information online.

It was a most successful Inspire workshop and we would like to thank our parents for their continued support and participation.
