Event - May Procession

18 May 2015

Despite the inclement weather that took place on Monday 18th May, our May Procession still went ahead indoors. The weather did not, in any way, dampen the mood of the afternoon as the whole school and parents gathered together to honour Mary, our patron Saint, Our Lady of Fatima.

Traditionally our May Queen and Cross Bearer are pupils from Year 6 and two Communicants accompany them in their duties.

Father Seamus led the service, by blessing the crown in preparation for the procession. It was a wonderfully uplifting, spiritual occasion where all pupils honoured Mary in song, prayer and by presenting flowers following her official crowning. Some children in Year 4 led a decade of the Rosary in admiration of Mary.
