Event - Final Week Activities

14 to 18 July 2014

It was a busier end of term than usual with two masses of thanksgiving, a magnificent leavers' assembly as well as congratulations and goodbye assemblies.

There were so many attendance certificates to distribute with the highest number of 100% and 99+% awards ever presented.

On Monday, we said a special goodbye to Mrs Martin, our Headteacher who retired at the end of term to spend more time with her family.

On Wednesday, Year 1 led a special mass of thanksgiving for our Year 6 leavers who responded with a wonderful assembly the following day themed around the history of the World Cup.

On the final day of term, a local hostelry provided a cooked breakfast to send Year 6 pupils on their way whilst proud mums and dads said their farewells too! Another assembly followed with farewell songs for Mr Clinton, Mrs Martin and Year 6.

Class-teachers eagerly awaited news from the school office regarding their class attendance for the whole year to see who had won the coveted attendance trophies (it was Year 3 and Year 2).

A whole school picnic in our beautiful grounds was possible due to the glorious weather and the finale was 'bubbles on the field' when we sang our school song and said our goodbyes until September.
