Event - Hagley High Glam Rock Band

11 July 2014

The school hall vibrated to the sound of glam rock when Mr Mallinson and Hagley High School's Glam Rock Band visited on 11th July as part of their primary schools tour.

Talented musicians from Hagley including three past students from this school – John, Pippa and Beth on guitar, drums and vocals respectively - entertained staff and students with a style of rock and pop music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s.

Mr Mallinson used the fast paced session to educate the children about music and the different roles of instruments and types of singing voices. In keeping with the era they wore outrageous clothes and hairstyles, including platform-soled boots.

The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of the glam artists were outclassed only by their stunning performance and audience participation!
