Event - Year 2's Trip to Avoncroft Museum

23 May 2013

Year 2 had a fabulous day out at Avoncroft Museum of Buildings. They compared houses from the Tudor, Victorian and Modern day periods and even had a go at making their own Tudor walls with 'wattle and daub'.

The museum is an open-air museum of rescued buildings which have been relocated to the site in Stoke Heath, a district of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England.

The 'hands on' sessions are based on construction, design, technology, science and nature. The aim to support the development of individual enquiry, communication and learning was certainly fulfilled on this memorable day!
